Oh, the things some will do in the name of love. They can be quite horrific. Such is the case with The Loved Ones, a 2009 Australian high school horror film that shows just how far a girl (and her father) will go to make sure she has the date she wants for the prom. From the looks of it, what starts out as this generation’s Sixteen Candles quickly turns into something more akin to Misery or The Silence of the Lambs when Brent (Twilight‘s Xavier Samuel) turns down Lola (Robin McLeavy) so he can go to the prom with his girlfriend (Victoria Thaine). Brent’s definitely going to wish he had taken one for the team when Lola’s crush proves to be anything but innocent. Sound like something you’d like to see?
