Georgia Wrestling Now welcomes Geter, Caprice Coleman, Shynron and AR Fox

It’s the last episode of 2013 for Georgia Wrestling Now, so Wrestling with Pop Culture decided to help ring in the new year with a few of indie wrestling’s top names that got their starts in Georgia. First we talk to Geter, who concludes his breakout year as the new Peachstate Wrestling Alliance Heritage Champion. Then we hear from Caprice Coleman, a former NWA Wildside/Anarchy standout who will be a big part of Ring of Honor‘s TV taping in Nashville on Jan. 4. Finally, we close out this week’s show with Beyond Wrestling‘s Shynron “The Spirit Dragon” and current Evolve Champion and Chile Lucha Libre International All Star Champion AR Fox, both of whom will be part of World Wrestling Alliance‘s Past, Present, Future Supershow on Jan. 2. Joshua Von Wheeler, Johnny Danger and WPC also discuss recent and upcoming events in Universal Independent Wrestling, Alternative Pro Wrestling, American Wrestling Federation, Diamond Pro Wrestling, WWE, Platinum Championship Wrestling, Empire Wrestling Entertainment and more. The number of shopping days before Christmas may be limited, but the number of wrestling events taking place in Georgia this weekend certainly are not. This week, Georgia Wrestling Now tries to cover as many of these events as possible. First, Wrestling with Pop Culture and Johnny Danger talk to Cassandro El Exotico (arguably the most famous of the exoticos) about his match at this weekend’s Mucha Lucha Atlanta event. Then we hear from Jacoby Boykins about his elimination tag match against Moose Ojinnaka‘s team this Sunday at Fall Brawl III. This week’s GWN concludes with a very special appearance by Santa Claus, who will be checking in on those naughty and nice monsters at Monstrosity Championship Wrestling on Friday the 13th and Dec. 14. Labor Day weekend tends to be a unique time for Georgia wrestling. This week’s Georgia Wrestling Now, in turn, is a unique experience unto itself. Wrestling with Pop Culture is joined once again by Pro Wrestling Resurrection Tag Team Champion Johnny Danger as we talk to two of the monsters taking part in this weekend’s events. First we hear from Dark Mon, an ominous presence at World Wrestling Alliance 4 and Monstrosity Championship Wrestling events who will also be part of Quinn “Moose” Ojinnaka‘s Labor Day Pro Wrestling Bash at Georgia Sports Performance on Sept. 1. The Georgia wrestling scene was filled with controversy and scandal once again last weekend, and some of these topics are addressed on this week’s Georgia Wrestling Now. Universal Independent Wrestling’s Mark Grason asked for some of our time, so listen to hear his special announcements. Team All You Can Eat’s Matt Hankins, Wrestling with Pop Culture and Georgia Wrestling History‘s Larry Goodman talk to a litany of imposing figures on the Georgia wrestling scene on this week’s Georgia Wrestling Now. It all starts with an unexpected call from The Jagged Edge, who has plenty to talk about with his involvement in upcoming Anarchy Wrestling and Platinum Championship Wrestling events. With Thanksgiving just a few days away, Wrestling with Pop Culture has a lot to be thankful for. And with the guests lined up for this week, Georgia Wrestling Now is one of those things.
